Meet the Cruise Weekly team

Cruise Weekly is produced by a dedicated team of experienced professionals. Our aim is to be first with the news, bringing cruise lovers all of the relevant information they need, as well as providing an entertaining and edifying read.

Cruise Weekly’s staff include:

Louise Goldsbury, Editor

Email: louise.goldsbury@cruiseweekly.com.au

Louise is an Australian travel writer with more than 14 years of journalism experience. She’s been the editor of Cruise Weekly since 2009, and also has cruising and travel articles regularly published in mainstream media such as newspapers, magazines and guidebooks.

Since taking on her role with Cruise Weekly Louise has cruised in all corners of the globe, and finds it very hard to pick a favourite. However the cruises where a butler attends to her every need certainly float her boat!

Amanda Collins, Editor

Email: amanda.collins@cruiseweekly.com.au

Amanda plays a key role in the company, putting together Cruise Weekly’s editions each Tuesday and Thursday. She contributes stories to the publication too, and really loves writing about her own cruise experiences.

Amanda is also co-editor for Pharmacy Daily, another of the group’s newsletters.

Her most recent cruise was exploring the wilds of Borneo in style aboard the new Orion II, where she loved coming face to face with wildlife each day – and talking about the experience on board over a glass of fine champagne in the evening.

Lisa Maroun, Marketing and Advertising Manager

Email: lisa.maroun@cruiseweekly.com.au

Lisa has been with the company for five years, and is marketing manager for all of the group’s publications.

She loves the challenges and variety in her role, working with fantastic clients and the fun and friendly team at Cruise Weekly which makes it a pleasure coming to work each day.

If your company is looking at ways to maximise your exposure to Australasian cruise lovers and cruising specialist travel agents, then Lisa is your “go-to” person.

When Lisa’s not working she enjoys travelling, catching up with family and friends and exercising – and she absolutely loves cruising!

Bruce Piper, Managing Editor

Email: bruce.piper@cruiseweekly.com.au

Bruce is a qualified electrical engineer who changed his career completely when he and his wife Jenny moved into the publishing industry in 2004. Initially building up Travel Daily (see www.traveldaily.com.au), the pair saw a unique opportunity to extend the same publishing model into the cruise industry and the move has seen the establishment of a new way for cruise lovers to keep up to date with the latest news.

When he’s not working he enjoys spending time with their three teenage children as well as being involved with his local church.

Jenny Piper, Managing Director

Email: jenny.piper@cruiseweekly.com.au

Jenny Piper is a qualified pharmacist, but now works with the group’s various publications. Like most women, Jenny is a great multitasker, combining various roles within the business with running a family. Her day to day role sees her managing the company’s finances, staff and strategy.

When she’s not in the office Jenny enjoys spending time with friends and activities with her family. Her favourite place in the world is Vincentia on the NSW South Coast.
