LAST weekend, Pacific Jewel made history,
becoming the largest vessel to ever pull up in
Norfolk Island.
The stop took place during Jewel’s 16 day
South Pacific voyage, an itinerary which
retraced the steps of Fletcher Christian and
the Bounty mutineers.
“As the first cruise line to ever visit Norfolk
Island, it seems entirely appropriate that P&O
Cruises now has the distinction of operating
the largest cruise ship ever to call there,” said
Ann Sherry, CEO of Carnival Australia, which
operates P&O Cruises.
