Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises, the big ship ocean-cruising experts, have unveiled a range of savings on their trans-continental voyages of adventure, including “buy one, get one half price” with Royal Caribbean and the addition of “Go Better!” for free on selected Celebrity Cruises ocean crossings.
Experienced cruisers will know that these longer, open-jaw voyages – also known as repositioning cruises – offer unique itineraries and a chance to experience some more unusual destinations. Because they start and finish at different destinations, travellers can spend more time exploring exotic destinations like Honolulu, Seattle, Hong Kong and Singapore when they end their cruise – or add on a land tour further afield.
“Cruising is one of the best ways to see multiple destinations in one trip. No other mode of transport lets you traverse such wide ocean crossings in this level of comfort, plus by choosing an ocean crossing with Celebrity Cruises or Royal Caribbean, you’ll get to experience some of the world’s harder to reach destinations,” said Adam Armstrong, commercial director, RCL Cruises.
Royal Caribbean is offering a truly spectacular 24-night itinerary from Sydney to Seattle onboard Australia’s newest and biggest megaliner, Explorer of the Seas. The Pacific Journey calls at New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji en route to the Hawaiian ports of Honolulu, Lahaina, Kailua and Kona. Departing from Sydney on 23 April 2016, it’s priced from $2,999 for the first person and $1,499.50 for the second, including up to $500 onboard credit and half price deposits.
A similar sailing on Radiance of the Seas, Australia’s culinary cruise ship, is an 18-night ocean crossing that departs Sydney on 3 April 2016 with calls at Picton and Wellington in New Zealand then tropical Moorea and Bora Bora in Tahiti, French Polynesia, before arriving at her final destination in Honolulu. Priced from $2,299 for the first person and $1,149.50 for the second, the fare includes up to $500 onboard credit and half price deposits.
Heading north to Asia is an 18-night cruise from Brisbane to Hong Kong onboard Queensland’s very own cruise ship, Legend of the Seas, departing 20 April 2016. The sailing calls at the Whitsundays, Cairns and Darwin in Australia, as well as Bali, Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, and Puerto Princessa and Manila in the Philippines. Priced from $2,299 for the first person and $1,149.50 for the second, the fare includes up to $500 onboard credit and half price deposits.
Voyager of the Seas – twin sister ship to Explorer of the Seas and famous for her FlowRider and ice-skating rink – is offering a slightly shorter voyage to Asia: a 14-night cruise from Sydney to Singapore. Departing 16 April 2016, this journey calls at Brisbane, Darwin and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Priced from $1,499 for the first person and $749.50 for the second, the fare includes up to $500 onboard credit and half price deposits.
Royal Caribbean megaliners are famous for being the biggest and most technologically advanced cruise ships to sail anywhere in the world. Boasting the newest hardware, these ships also offer world-class dining, Broadway style entertainment and a multitude of facilities for all the family to enjoy, from ice-skating and outdoor rock-climbing to the only FlowRider surf simulators at sea.
Or, for a more elegant ocean crossing cruise onboard the luxurious Celebrity Solstice from Sydney to Singapore, departing 8 October 2016, or from Singapore to Sydney departing 31 October 2016. Normally excluded from the Celebrity Cruises Go Big pricing structure, guests who book on these two repositioning will be eligible for the current “two free perks” offer.
Calling at Brisbane, the Whitsundays, Cairns, Darwin and Bali, these are truly voyages of discovery. Priced from just $2,489 per person for an oceanview stateroom, travellers pay just $25 deposit plus receive their choice of two free perks; ranging from a Classic Beverage Package for two, unlimited internet, prepaid gratuities or USD$150 onboard credit.
A member of Celebrity Cruises’ fleet of ships that deliver a fresh, modern kind of luxury, Celebrity Solstice is Australia’s favourite and highest rated cruise ship – and the youngest based in the region.
