This year marks 30 years since the founding of Victoria Travel, the family business started by Andrew and Mary Gardner. Today we’re known as www.CRUISE.co.uk, a multi-award winning company dealing with clients internationally, known for professional service and comprehensive cruising information available to anyone.
Throughout the years www.CRUISE.co.uk has built and strengthened relationships with our partners, including BBC Gardener’s World Magazine and Fred Olsen Cruise Line, hosting a variety of speciality garden cruises for over twenty years.
This year, to commemorate reaching yet another milestone, our chairman Andrew Gardner will be hosting a short cruise to Rouen aboard Fred Olsen’s Braemar for guests and celebrity speakers alike. Guests will include renowned names such as Alan Titchmarsh, Matthew Biggs, David Hurrion, Tony Russell and Ashley Stephenson.
In the past we’ve hosted a variety of themed cruises, including Garden, Dance, Golf and even Choirs at Sea. In addition to these themes we have taken our guests to wonderful locations such as the Caribbean, New Zealand, the Amazon, Norwegian Fjords and even more wondrous and exotic destinations.
Reflecting on the history of Victoria Travel and the gradual transformation into www.CRUISE.co.uk Andrew Gardner was amazed;
“The future for cruising looks very healthy with more and more people now trying or returning to cruises and new ships and destinations are opening up all the time. River cruising is the perhaps the latest big growth area as guests are discovering that the easiest way to see inland areas is from the water rather than on a coach or car. River vessels have undergone a transformation in the past 10 years and the European Rivers and the Nile are now seeing a boom in passengers who are then becoming more adventurous and travelling to the Mekong, Yangtze and Russian Waterways. The future is certainly looking bright and at www.CRUISE.co.uk we are always moving with the times to keep giving our discerning clients the level of service and information they want when they want and in the way they want it. So here’s to the next 30 years, and the amazing changes we will see again!”
