CELEBRITY Cruises named its fifth Solstice
class vessel in a ceremony in Miami last
weekend, assisted by four godmothers fighting
breast cancer.
The godmothers, who have been diagnosed
with breast cancer, are Helen O’Connell,
manager of Celebrity’s community relations,
and Rosey Rodriguez, a 17-year company
employee; as well as Jovanka Goronjic,
AquaSpa manager on the Australian-based
Celebrity Solstice, and Megan Mathie, a
glassblower on Solstice, both of whose
mothers have the disease.
The 3,046-passenger Celebrity Reflection is
parent company Royal Caribbean’s 42nd ship.
