NORWEGIAN Cruise Line (NCL) has announced it will return to South America and Antarctica for the 2027-28 winter season, following a two-year hiatus.
The cruise line’s Norwegian Star will sail to the region between Dec 2027 and Mar 2028, where she will offer 15-night cruises from Buenos Aires, Argentina and San Antonio, Chile.
The voyages will feature stops at Elephant Island in Antarctica, as well as ports in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, including Puerto Montt.
Additionally, Star will operate transatlantic crossings to and from Europe.
The ship was originally scheduled to return to the region in 2025-26, before being cancelled due to a fleet redeployment initiative.
