OCEANIA Cruises has unveiled the details of its 2022 Around the World cruise, set to be its “biggest yet” in the Australian market, VP and GM Jason Worth revealed to Cruise Weekly.
The epic journey will take place aboard the recently refurbished Insignia (CW 06 Mar 2019), pictured, which will set sail from the west coast of the US on 06 Jan 2022, visiting 44 countries and calling into 91 ports over 180 days, with guests able to enjoy 100 days of offshore excursions.
Cruisers can extend the itinerary to a total of 196 days by adding on an optional 16-day leg from Miami to LA at the beginning of the world tour.
The itinerary will “focus heavily on the Australasian region”, said Worth, with the ship visiting NZ and Australia before heading to a number of Asian destinations, including calls in Japan and four on Africa’s west coast.
The ship will then head to Europe before the tour wraps up on 04 Jul in New York, giving guests the opportunity to experience the excitement of Independence Day celebrations.
Prices start from AU$61,130 ppts, which includes bonus value such as wi-fi, onboard medical care, shoreside events, US$1,000 credit per stateroom and speciality dining, in addition to one of the following: 62 free shore excursions, a free beverage package, or free US$6,200 shipboard credit.
