CELEBRATING Mother’s Day yesterday aboard Carnival Cruise Line was a number of mother-daughter and mother-son duos.

Madelein Marais and her daughter Charne are from South Africa, with the mother working in guest services on Carnival Valor, and her daughter in human resources on Carnival Magic.

Charne said she decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps after hearing about all the amazing places she was visiting.

Loreta Torres and her son Psalm, from the Philippines, work aboard Mardi Gras and Carnival Dream respectively.

Both mother and son professed about the impact Carnival has made on their lives, including helping Psalm graduate with his bachelor’s degree.
