ONE couple has learned the hard way about leaving the cabin balcony door open.

While staying on Carnival Freedom, docked in Orlando, the couple posted a video on TikTok showing flocks of birds in their cabin.

“When you go on a cruise and you come back to a bunch of (birds) everywhere,” the caption read.

“Felt like we were living in a horror movie scene.

“I can breathe now because I can (laugh) about it.”

The video received mixed reception from viewers, with one person pointing out, “you’re not supposed to leave your balcony door open when you’re gone”.

Another user compared the video to a scene from Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic horror movie, The Birds.

Many others suggested that the erratic behaviour of the birds could have been a result of a hurricane, which impacted Florida.
