VIKING has announced 2023 sailings of its Mississippi River cruises are now open for sale, with additional departures added due to strong demand.
The new America’s Heartland, Heart of the Delta and Southern Celebration dates range from Jan to Sep 2023.
The new season can be booked now with Viking’s risk-free guarantee (CW 12 May), which is now available until the end of the month.
The guarantee sees travellers able to change their cruise up to 24 hours prior to departure on all new bookings made before 31 Jul.

“Though we can’t travel overseas right now, exploring this part of America has captured the attention of our guests and clearly Viking Mississippi is hitting all the right notes,” said Managing Director ANZ Michelle Black.
“In particular what has surprised us is the demand for the longer itinerary — America’s Great River — and we expect the newly opened sailings will fill fast.”
Viking’s arrival on the Mississippi River is expected to bring more than 5,800 guests to the region in 2022 and more than 17,600 during the first full sailing season in 2023.
